Features of follicular cyst surgical treatment in children
Abstract
Follicular cysts account for 20% of all cysts in the maxillofacial region. The study's main goal is to develop guidelines for selecting surgical intervention to preserve impacted teeth in the cyst cavity. Two surgical interventions are used for this purpose: cystotomy and cystectomy. MSCT (multislice computed tomography) is an important tool in determining the best surgical treatment. Before surgery, an orthodontic consultation and treatment should be initiated.
