3-dimensional cone-beam computer tomography analysis of upper airway

Abstract

3D CBCT cephalometric analysis has beenperfomed in patients with different types of sagittal malocclusion. The most informative landmarks and parameters have been selected, which can effectively be used by orthodontists for upper airway analysis. It allows to measure the dimensions and volume, assess morphology and anatomical layout of upper airway, and evaluate the risk factors of sleep related breathing disorders in patients with malocclusion.
