An Evaluation of the Effects of Metal Bracket Systems on the Oral Health of Bronchitis Patients
Abstract
Interleukins (IL-1 and IL-6) are found in higher concentrations in the saliva of orthodontic patients with bronchial asthma before treatment than in orthodontic patients without somatic pathology or persons who do not wear braces. The content of the examined interleukins in saliva is unaffected by the use of non-removable metal bracket devices.
