Soft tissue and skeletal facial parameters assessment in patients with distal occlusion before and after treatment with the Twin Block appliance
Abstract
Distal occlusion is widespread, necessitating effective therapeutic strategies. The effects of treating distal occlusion with functional appliances on soft tissues and bone structures have been the subject of numerous studies; however, the results of these studies are still being analysed, and opinions among practising physicians regarding the necessity, timing, and strategies of the treatment are divided.
