Abstract

Currently, the main regulatory documents that govern the rates of time and material consumption in the manufacture of removable orthodontic appliances are approved by Order of the USSR Ministry of Health dated 10.28.1987 No. 1156 and Order of the USSR Ministry of Health "On measures to further improve dental care for the population" dated 12.06. 1984 No. 670 respectively. The presented norms refer to the Soviet period and do not take into account changes in materials and the method of manufacturing modern orthodontic appliances. In view of the active development and implementation of modern technologies in the practice of an orthodontist and a dental technician, they require refi ning and update.
